It is quite difficult to decide best liposuction procedures available in the world. Each of them can lead to different results, according to a number of factors, many of which depend on the type and amount of fat removed from the patient’s body. However, although all types of liposuction have one and only goal: the elimination of unwanted fat, all had results that are more or less impressive, sooner or later.

The technique widely preformed is tumescent liposuction, characterised by its invasive nature and painful recovery period. The first step in this procedure involves injecting a liquid mixture in the area operated on. This liquid combines analgesic drugs and is intended to make the procedures easy to continue by modifying the texture of fat to be removed. Blood loss is also reduced by this fluid. Many people today still go with this kind of liposuction, because it is cheaper compared to other methods.

Due to its popularity, many surgeons practicing this specific liposuction procedure has gained significant clinical experience – this makes tumescent liposuction safer. However, results of operations are highly dependent on patient age and texture of fat. If tumescent  liposuction can bring good results in younger patients it still can leave unsightly marks in older patients with reduced tissue resistance. Laser liposuction, a more recent procedure, involves working with a surgical laser melting the fat cells in the target zone. When completed, the surgeon removes the fat cells. The problem of operative and post-operative trauma is reduced and the results and recovery are better than in the case of tumescent liposuction. However, the cost of procedure will also increase.

There are even newer lipo techniques available for men and women these days: smart liposuction or high-definition lipo selection. The result is better in the second, because it also involves the reconstruction methods that results in the target area far superior, from an aesthetic standpoint.
